Golden hair blows in the breeze.
She waits for him,
Only wishing to see
Where the love of her life could be.

Hills span out endlessly before him.
Trials and terrors not yet to see
He senses her on the breeze,
Yet he knows what cannot be.

This maiden was hurt,
Her knight was mad,
He then strode out,
Never coming back.

Two worlds separated by fate,
No matter what their hearts' desire.
Their lives were torn apart,
Before their love was allowed to start.

Light grows dimmer as night takes control.
She walks to the edge, looking over.
Her heart makes one final shove…
A forbidden love.

What wonderful images painted by your writing! It's sorrowful (searching for love always is)... and yet the descriptivness adds so much beauty to it. My compliments.

I liked this a lot, also. Sad tale, but well told.
