Piano By Candlelight
~*~
Ivory  fingers light a fire
as midnight reflects knocking keys on eboney
lovers love the resounding sound
pounding the door
unlocking  memories
from a half forgotten dream
the faded photo in your mind
becomes music to your ears

very lovely Deb ...
in both its imagery and emotions
memories laced with melody and longing..
well done poetess

Tomorrow holds only mystery
And who's to say what might be
But in you I've found a love so strong
The sun and the moon look on in jealousy

Deb,

Awesome writing here.  I love the references you used.  Very romantic!

Deb...the title alone is a poem in itself....
the rest was the whip cream on a delicious sundae....

thank you!

When you find the images in your mind and can share them so eloquently in a piece as lovely as this then you know that you are most definitely on your way.  Truely a beauty to read my poet friend.

I love how you describe romance and the discovery of love's song of memories in so few words...this is just lovely!  The first line "Ivory fingers light a fire" is my favourite.  I could picture the scene in my mind~

Take care,
Melissa~
