Your Face

Your eyes are the jewels my desires enshrine
The luster of diamond, enticement of mind
The rapturing joy and the calm of a dove
The depth of the wells of contentment and love

Your lips are the softness and yearning of lust
The essence of kisses encircling us
Their touch wraps an aura of love around two
And leaves on my lips the sensation of you

Your smile is my haven of tranquil delight
It blankets my heart in the coolness of night
It’s a smile that your eyes in their splendor define
Your face is the face of my sweet valentine

This is very very beautifully done, Elizabeth! I'm glad to see you here, I was starting to worry, not seeing you for the past couple of days. I hope you are well!

Dark angel,
Thank you for the "sigh". That says a lot

Charisma,
Thank you so much for your comment

Sunshine, A Valentine and no one to give it to. When I was young I couldn't think of a single thing to write in a card. Oh, well
Thanks, dear

Denise,
I'm alive and kicking, thanks for your concern. Just unable to visit the forum as often right now. Thanks, and look for a surprise in your e-mail

Martie, I'm looking through poetic eyes only. THanks for the wonderful message last night

Krista, Thanks, I'm glad you liked it. I appreciate your comments

Paula, Sweet comments from a sweet poet
Thanks, Paula

Jwesley, THank you so much.

Ellie, THanks, dear, and look for an e-mail

Poet devine, I certainly never got a valentine like this and never will. But you're welcome to send it if you want.
Thank you.

Liz ...this was such a joy to read aloud ...
your wonderful cadence is equaled only by your gift of imagery.
this is a diamond in the sky ..flying on wings of rhyme divine
My above poets are right ...
Hallmark NEEDS you!

If my slight Muse do please these curious days ...
The pain be mine ...
but thine shall be the praise.

Liz,

I love your work so much... fine as silk and smooth as satin... I'm sorry I haven't gotten back to you on your last "E" it kind of left me awe-struck... I thought that kind of stuff only happened in my family. My siblings are already making me offers on my 25%... Calling it an investment... Dad isn't even dead and it appears they have already buried him. It's surprising how the world turns on a tilt.

Sending Prayers, dale

Kethry,
THanks so much, one word says a lot,

Suthrn, When I started writing this, I didn't intend it to be a xalentine.
Thanks for commenting

Bill, You write much more beautiful romantic poetry than this by far, but I am pleased you liked it
Thanks
Liz
