Serenity’s Ebb
By: Noah Eaton
1/31/01

All-mighty rivers sway upon the mighty chests of the mountains
Tumultuous breaths washing away parched minds
Cumbersome regards crumbled at thy fearless dreadnought
Bulging at the five finger rapids at the palm of kismet

Blood is on my hands again, a simple ridicule severs me again and again
Like a woodpecker grinding at the hollow rampike of deceit
Pasquinades of time as old as tales bewitching the foreordained
Selling the ascertained, as the ascertained sells them out

I slip from my outer shadow, plunging from waterfall, ensanguined thoughts cleansed away
Eyes of the heart washed of vain, third eyes calyx reaped of poison ivy hallucinations
Stripped from pangs mask, I breathe for forgiveness, drumming lungs producing quaking determination
A lavaliere of a parable of a many answers shackling spirits larynx, freedoms song locked away in time like a canary in a melting cage

I swim upon the stream of time like a kid struggling to hop aboard the horses back
As if it wasn’t difficult already, breaching against crescent shadows of the oil spills of fortune
Rigid arms driven of spirit, eyes wide open of testimony, ongoing breath of will
I’ve only went so far, it’s not much more from here, as part of my creed, I will make way to Shallow Water of Thorough Repose

Too long at sea, redemption at stake, still trying to drive it through fully
Ripples unroll upon clearing water, gods eyes dissolving at high dawn of perennial love
Here on in, what do you have to lose, take the advantage, it’s much clear sailing from here
Seize the day, for every soul has a dear time, and time so dear nurtures it’s soul

So push your fidelitys toboggan from the apex, into thin air take the escape
Let your spirits undertow pull you toward the fjord of serenity’s ebb
Sing from your soul, may the all-powerful peace of heart be released
Rest in peace now, let the tide carry you back to the soft sands of day, sleep in love, sleep…

Your words are captivating in this, Noah!
