Piloting through these cloudy skies
Convicted on those simple lies
The ones we take for harmless sash
That has no bearing on the past

And with these lies you gain deceit
Which now the image is complete
No longer can I fix this chain
The broken links of endless pain

It eats away from inside out
Replaces truth with hatred and doubt
Where what is seemed is not for real
Not left to stand out on appeal

Serve this sentence I do well
With burning seams here in this hell
Not able to clear up my name
The end result remains the same

Do not ponder my ill fate
I’ll leave a message at the gate
Relying on my troubled means
To lick my wounds I will retrieve
my pride and dignity.

Thank you Serene. Sometimes it takes the darness to bring us into the light.
