Listening to every heart

Beyond the Pale
Dedicated to the Poetic Men at Passions

stoically he
nethers my world
completely unfurls
my sails
as he propels
he prevails
through the gales
goes once
then again
beyond the pale

and I would sail away with him

he sights me
highlights me
then cleverly, wittily
delights me
brightens my way
every day
sings the song of my heart
delights in my art
gallantly adds chivalry
to bravery
takes a bit of daring
puts in all the caring

and I would illuminate his night

I look for him
I see his soul
young in old
a bard of gold
old he’ll never be
the graying is just
a way to see
a fantasy
of haunted light

and I would treasure him tenderly

for his soul glows rose
O do concur with me
this coveted man
captures poetic plan
painting in motion
safe harbor from ocean
harbor thee my art
steal command
seize my hand

and I would listen to learn and learn again

for he’s stolen mine heart
all along
in the course of prairie song
it’s not wrong to long
to subsist like this
written bliss
smells sweet
petals sweet smells of life

and then to breath him in

so to thee

from whom I derive
all that makes me alive
for it is how you play
the words that pay
the tribute kind
now please don’t mind
me when I say

you may have your way
with your words
as you discern
they do not escape unheard
or unspoken
solid gold tokens
from my lips
to your hear
hear me now
whisper soft

you wing me aloft

and raise me again
to new heights of heights
finger with me the stars at night
under moon’s faint light
to receive sun’s delight

all these the reasons be
why you linger beyond the pale

Karilea
If I whisper, will you listen?...
I would rather be silent and write, than speak loudly and be bound.

My friend you may light up my sky and range with your presence anytime.  What a lovely piece of poetry from you this afternoon and being a guy myself, well, I am glad that maybe some of my words may have found their way to you and given you even the briefest of moments of a tender touch or two.

Kari, I'm speachless, how often does that happen, I know not often. This is amazing

for he's stolen mine heart
all along
in the course of prairie song
it's not wrong to long
to subsist like this
written bliss
smells sweet
petals sweet smells of life

Kari, this is wonderful. And yes I love it, oh my this is one of your best, it truly is love

Karilea, I'm in agreement with MArk...if any words I've written have helped to spark any of these emotions or feelings, I feel very honored. What an incredible choice of words you use......

Sunshine,
I agree with Mark and Balladeer, If any of my words have added to your treasure then it was my pleasure. You have a style of your own  and this is an excellent example. *L*

I must agree. . . truly artistic. . .

I am indeed honored to be included with such fine men as we have here at Passions. . .

I hope that my work has spoken to you as much as yours has spoken to me my friend. . . thank you. . .

Gentlemen: so many men...so little time...to thank you all for your rhyme...may it please, may it ease, your soul, the goals, the squeeze of heart, by you to impart to us, the women of Passions...we thank you...

Gentlewomen:  the time of grateful, the time of great, to listen to men, who will relate, a time a place a song of grace, to be the one, to have begun a song, a dance, a chance at romance, who leave their heart, upon a sleeve, to give up the air of pretendese...

I think, gentlemen, that I am right, that you see YOU here...and I also think for the women, in part, or in whole, that we appreciate your soul...

do enjoy the best of you, that part that travels through the times of worst, to the times of best, lest we not ever see the swell of chest, the beat of heart, the prime of man...for you ALL do it...as no one can.

I hug you all...[and thank you for peeking in...{~,^}]
