Another Week-Ends (Senryu's Plus}

~Day One
He to me promised
Never to abandon me
After thirty years

~Day Two
A typical lie
In more ways than one, as he
Spent the nights with "her"

~And On the Third
Verbal battles, mine
Becoming physical, he
Leaving scarred, both ways

~Day Forward
Suffering's the norm
Can't he end our marriage first?
"Weak", my words for him

~Day Five
I'm sorry's flooded
Now, understanding abuse
Not accepting it

~Day Six
Thought me stupid, he
911 was dialed by me
Warning, visitor

~And On the Seventh Day
He to me promised
Never to hurt me, again
Another week-ends....

or

I tried this time to offer him
the chance to end in peaceful way
A love of years, commitment filled
but once again, she called, he swayed.

Respect, is that too much to ask,
to flaunt not, her in front of me?
Of course he promised to my face
behind my back, he disagreed.

Tears, I tried these ninety days
to stave them off, to dry my eyes
I've left behind the "anti" meds
and then my strength, soon realized.

This to him has raised his fears
and now he fights me tooth and nail.
Standing ground, my struggle hurts
the pain filled days, become my jail.

Some would say, to me the hurt
that I am feeling, I don't own
the rights to it, belong to all
but no one knows these scars have grown.

Have taken over softened skin
and scraped and cut me deep inside
to never heal, what once was loved
forever lost, to be denied.

So once again a week has passed
another one of pain not shared
but present, given me each day
by one, who doesn't feel nor care.

All that I can write is that I read it... and I will pray with you for better days. What you have stated is very real and it grieves my soul to think of such days and continued weeks and perhaps years of deception and pain in the false pretense of Love. I pray that you will find the wisdom to escape this dilemma of continued hurt in your life and that you may once again find the peace that you so expressingly deserve.

Grab your self respect by the hand and walk away from this ...you are much to nice a person to have to put up with this kind of playing both ends against the middle....you should NEVER!! alow yourself to be abused.. this person doesn't love you...90 percent of abused mates end up eventually leaving their mate......give him to the other one and swallow that old pride and walk away from the piece of @**@*......take care ethome

ethome- he's leaving, just has that upperhand at the moment, pushing me to the limits, but no more...it is funny strange how one wants to go, lets you know, but doesn't make the move, wanting you to be the one. In the end life is but a game and no one ever wins. Thank you E. I am not taking anything anymore, not one ounce from him or friends( or maybe that's enemies) that feel my words are a "wine" as some would say but spelled differently. *s
