The Carrier Dove

Its been some time since I've flushed the dove
And sent a message of fervent love.
Its been some time and the mist has not cleared
I hope the dove can escape interfere.

The message is small or the dove will not fly
And fly he must above the cloud of my sigh.
The distance is short but inhibit is great
For he must overcome a cerebral state.

He has no arrows nor a cupids bow
Nor a magic potion to make it so.
But carries few words from the red of my heart
Which I think is enough to make me a start.

Ancient words, in every language I know
As common to all, as the falling of snow
Falls from the lip like fresh mornings dew
It's simply the words of, "I love you."

The message is to keep but the dove is not toll
For the dove merely wields on the wings of my soul.

see the dove, child, overhead on high
it flies on with a message of love
'cross the deeply dark leaden skies
God shall keep it up above

for it has a message
of three words alone
"I love you" to massage
the ease of one unknown...

If I whisper, will you listen?...
I would rather be silent and write, than speak loudly and be bound.

Lovely thoughts here Sy.

It's simply the words of, "I love you." in my native Cherokee.
