Broken Wings The angels are hurting, in pain They are everywhere, in vain Came upon one the other day Smelling alcohol, in dissaray Took me a while to realise That the world has a surprise All that is required is a helping hand The angels begin life on earth's soil and sand They are all around in every corner Their call we pretend not to hear Came upon one the other day Lost child, homeless nowhere to stay Comprehend, I could not, for the child was sad And the parents just plainly said "too bad" The angels find their way They fight for a better day Soothing their pain, embracing their sorrow Mending their broken wings, waiting for tomorrow Watching them prepare to reach the stars Smiles on their faces as they begin to soar I resume my search for another broken wing Reminding that flowers do bloom and angels sing ~~Daniel J D~~ Respond to my call and let the waves of my heart fill your life with the wonders of love (Daniel J D) |

Couldnt let this one go by without a reply... I love angel poems. "Always walk with your head in the clouds. You may not see all there is too see but you will never have to see the ground on which you fall." Time flies? Say it not so, time stays we go. |
