This internet time has got me confused
and I'm sure it's the same for my hard-working muse
so often I post only to find
the time is so different, it's left far behind

I post in the morning and soon I can see
it's posted before, it's been written by me
when I write to reply, I think of the time
and my answer appears before I've made the rhyme

I'm confused and upset and so is my muse
she giving instructions, to firstly me choose
but all my questions my verse and my rhyme
are all displayed before my current time

I could not write as fast if I posted in trucks
so I'll just stay confused, blame the magnetic flux
instant communication is all very well
but my originality is so shot to hell

In posting 'ere writing, it turns back the time
so nothing is new and nothing sublime
but one thing that screws with my head in the night
is to know that you're reading before I did write.

Oh did you ever say it! So many times I have a new(?) idea to write about, and get here and see other poems with similar title, similar thoughts. Maybe we all think alike
Also, its true that sometimes something great slips right off the page, due to times, etc. That is the only flaw with this system. But I guess nothing is perfect.
This was very humorously done, but true and serious in its way..

Gave me a laugh, that's for sure!!!  I am always struggling to keep up with what the differences in time are; it's hard to do sometimes, that's for sure!!!  It's always funny to see it's one day on your computer and another day in here  laughs

Good job with your writing, the times might be skewed, but your talent shines out, no matter what day or time it says it is!!!

Kethry- I not only had the zone difference but for some reason my clock on the computer is lagging  some days by minutes and sometimes by almost an hour..they say I need a new battery in the harddrive and mine isnt even old...so I am always behind time now..*s
enjoyed your thoughts
