I would give anything
To slow dance
To this song
With you.

The lyrics inspire me;
The melody moves my soul;
The harmony gives me stability.
Can't you see?

I've dealt with a lot;
I've made my way
Through many whirlwinds.

But being apart from you
Is something
I've never fathomed facing.

I've worn hats
Not many people
Were willing to put on;
I've weathered storms
No one else has
Had the courage
To endure.

But this is more
Than I can give.
Baby, won't you be quick
With whatever is keeping you?
This song will soon be over.

Dance away! Though I hope they return before the song is over.

an amazing read! i love it!
a testament to our vulnerabilities, no matter how strong we all like to be.
masterful in its simplicity. love the dance theme.

Everyone's got their demons.
We all got somethin' to atone for.

I hate it when the music stops. It always seems to linger in my mind and I find my self humming the tune a lot.
Very well said snowpants, I hope you get what you wish for.

Love these lines...I think this all the time...sometimes I am so impatient...wanting instant gratification...I want it now...now I tell you..NOW..James

Irie:  yes, I know what you mean.  Thanks!

Mike:  thanks for reading!

BirdeeB:  thank you!

Liz:  glad you enjoyed!

James:  yes, that is the way of the world - instant gratification.  I, unfortunately, am guilty of the same thing.  Impatience is my biggest downfall.  But, thanks for reading!!

QUICK!!!!!........ feed the ole jukebox another dollar and let it play once more.  I do believe I hear him coming.  If not he would be a fool not to be running.
