Here I sit alone again
Pen and paper my only friend.
I tell myself just give him some time
So here I sit making words of rhyme.

I still go out and see the sights
but I cannot take to many lonely nights.
You are in my mind, my heart and soul
It’s so hard to let you go

Smarten up they say but can’t they see
You were my world, everything to me.
So here I sit making words that rhyme
I’ll be all right, I just need some time.

 --------------
You got to get up every morning with a smile on your face
and show the world all the love in your heart
Then people are gonna treat you better
You're gonna find, yes you will
That your beautiful as you feel.~~~ Carol King

I know it's been a long road
To get these towns behind me and I
Will gladly reap what we may sow--
I am there for you ...
and you're there for me ...
Are you waiting for
Heart in hand
Woman and man
See me where I stand I am
Heart
Heart in hand

Kitkat this is so cute and full of wisdom.
Thanks for sharing -- yes, quiet
moments with pen and paper one of my
favorite companions.

KitKat~
I sense the longing in this piece.
Your wisdom in waiting to clear the cobwebs is a wise decision.
Quiet, relective time is a good thing.
Enjoy it ... as we enjoy your writing.

Hey, you just described my evenings, and wonderfully I might add.
And yes by all means keep writing.

Joel.

I howl a mornful song, that echos within my chambered heart, for all to read? nay for all to feel.
