Let us golf, my dear,
Under the trees, in the sun,
Together we could make a hole in one,

We could wish upon a star,
Make it to the green,
Maybe even par,

To watch you tee off,
Together as we play golf,
In your stroke I am lost,

What I enjoy most is your company,
As poetic words you say are so funny,
You make me laugh,

We enjoy the day,
As we play,
And what an honor it would be,

To play golf with thee!!!

(hehe! I thought you would like this, as I know you like to play golf, and shakespeares poetry, great combination for a new play???)

The title begged me not to read, but I am defying myself.  It is good, but I have trouble with the subject.

To golf with thee would be a worthy task
Such pleasure would be more than I could ask
Due to thy beauty, I'd play straight and true
The envy of all would I be with you.

Thy gracious swing in all its splendid motion
Would be enough to choke me with emotion
How dare thy ball refuse to find the hole
When you've already won my heart and soul?

A birdie would be there...and maybe more
As you showed me such easy ways to score.
Dare I hope for an eagle to appear?
Yes, even that could be when you are near.

My love would never seek a different source
And I would die contented on your course.

Take your time to swing,
Concentrate on the ball,

Let it be smooth and slow,
Take your time,
Don't loose control,

As you play upon this course,
There will be no regrets,
No remorse,

For the grass is green,
Smooth and soft,

Your favorite place,
Where you come to play golf,

Thank you Brandon...this subject is about golf because Balladeer loves golf and he likes the Shakespearean form of poetry..So I Wrote it on a lighter note, not to be took as perfect poetry or anything...just having fun!!

ROFL!!!

Oh goodness....Romantic Heart and Balladeer...What an awesome match-up.

And there was I
just driving by
in my little white cart,
powered by a baked-bean ...

Almost though of pulling out the hose
but saw that Balladeer had one of those
and with that thing, he took a swing
and lost his balls in the rough

hmmm..better not go there either....

Alicat, calling it a night....
