A Morning in October

It's a wild and windy morning
And the air is full of sighs
And the mist is drifting, drifting,
Where the reedy water lies.
I can hear a raven calling
As he rides upon the breeze
And the leaves are falling, falling,
From the lonely autumn trees.

It's a wild and windy morning
And my heart is sad to hear
The sound of wild geese crying
From the higher atmosphere
And the winter's nearly with us,
When the days are cold and gray
And the snow is blowing, blowing.
So I put my dreams away!

BettyLou~
Oh .... sounds to me like you're gonna need those 'dreams' to keep you WARM~

I got chilled just reading it~
You'd better pack up and migrate South~

Songbird:  Well, maybe I'll keep a small dream or two tucked in my pocket! Thanks.

Thanks Marge.  I'm sure you wouldn't enjoy our 20 degree nights!  However, I sure would enjoy your nice warm days! We have rain today. Hooray!
