Silent whisper of the night, Coolness of the breeze. Creatures creeping through the dark, Echoes calling me. Remembrance of yesteryear, Poignant to my heart. Loneliness wrapped around my limbs, Forgotten is the blade. Bitterness is left behind, Such hurt that now has healed. Tomorrow brings a mystery, Though you are not a part. Children's squeals of happiness, Encircle now my heart. |
