Tale of a Guard

Once there was a guard
Of a loyal family.
He was full of enthusiasm,
Praised and admired by many.

One little trick led to his falling.
Once there was a joker
Dared him to drink from his cup,
Knowing the guard wouldn't resist.

One drop of the liquor
Warming the guard's throat,
Another drop of liquor
Put him to be asleep.

That night the joker
Ran into treasure,
And stole all the rings.
When yonder morning came, it's too late.

The villiage widely shocked
By the news of loyal family.
Everyone cursed the guard,
As though they forgotten yesterday glories.

Poor guard found himself only in remorse.
The loyal family kept him yet the trust was lost.
Poor guard now found old ties became a threat.
The older guard had become wiser yet in misery.

Every word uttered, every move observed,
Made impact on his life.
People weren't so forgiving in the poor guard.
Once opinions formed were hard to correct.

Yet the guard were glad
That he went through all events.
Through this misery,
He learnt to be responsible for all he did in life.

He did learnt in a hard way, yet he didn't miss
A single thing caused he accepted defeat.
Slowly the guard proved himself to be faithful;
And slowly his reputation became clear waterfall.

He did learnt in a hard way, yet he didn't miss
A single thing caused he accepted defeat.
He didn't miss a single thing
Caused each day was a beginning.
