Yesterday Insult, Today's Gain

Yonder a gardener
Enjoyed much her flowers,
That she invited a guest,
In sharing her joy.

Just so happened her guest
May have been moody,
A little more critical
Than her usual fit.

Tearing, insulting
Her flowers and her peace.
Yet she wasn't angry,
She gave thanks for the insight.

Weeks later, she was to
Make the same mistakes,
Yet she was reminded
By her guest's comments.

Thinking of shifting
Focus of the garden,
At last she shown
Her flowers to her mother.

Suprisingly, her mother who
Didn't like much
Spending time in garden,
Stayed the whole evening- to breath.

Breathing the scent
Of the flower, walking, smiling.
Yesterday insult, today's gain.
Yesterday insult, but never mind.
