Sitting in Michael's Lap

Recount me not thy tales of whim and woe:
For such report, I have no ear to lend,
Nor favor to impart, nor time to spend
In learning what avails me naught to know.
If speak thou must, then utter only truth
Or wisdom, if of these thou claimest aught --
Else, keep thy peace, I pray – of lesser thought
I plenty have, and nothing need, forsooth!
In drawing breath to give thy musings voice,
Consider close the notion there comprised:
For oft, thy lips are better exercised
In knowing silence stands the wiser choice.
Choose well thy speech, and idle prattle shun,
For much of naught emerges less than none.

 YOUR LIFE IS A TEST

It is only a test ...

If this were your Actual Life, you would have been given better instructions!

Tongues a'wagging are just tongues a'lagging.
I like your firmness in this matter.

Well, as much as I enjoyed this piece, Kess, I truly wonder if the message behind it will reach those intended for - and if it does, would they even know or would your subtle cry drown amidst their own overzealous ramblings...LOL  Indeed, Much can be said for knowing when to say absolutely "nothing".

Oh, and Marge, :P~  hehe
