Restlessness settles fast
In these bones longing
For distant lands.
Gypsy blood boils in my veins.
Wanderlust has become my name.
Wish my actions spoke louder than these
Words I spout.
My skin, itching to scratch,
How it longs to shout.

Across the gateway of my heart,
I wrote "No Thoroughfare!!"
But love came laughing by and
Cried "I enter everywhere!!!"

Kynder...I really identify with this.  I too have wanderlust.  Go...fly...find those adventures you seek..before it's too late.  Hardrock

Yes. I've got that too! Except I don't want to travel: I want to move somewhere else. The Germans have a word for this (Fernweh), an English equivalent would be "Farsick" (as opposed to homesick), sounds daft, doesn't it?
Enjoyed your poem a lot!

Oh another great one. Me too, I always long to be somewhere I'm not. Always..With me its not the act of traveling, but the being in a different place that I crave. Great stuff, obviously making us think.

Oh this sure touches that place within myself, I always had a reason not to "leave home" but the dream is there!! Very well put, and if you can, do it while you can!!! Very good writing

Nice  poem kynder...gonna have to go some to catch up with my feet though, been itching since the first leaf budded. Wonder if this stems from our "prehistoric" days...reckon?

Nice peom.  I think all of us have that urge to wander.  Some feel it and act while others only keep it locked inside.  Keep it up.
