The Shores of Alone

0 posted 2000-06-29 02:20 PM

My life is composed of later.
Later I will be back home.
Later I will be in his arms.
Later I will hear his voice.
Later I will have security.
Later I will be happy.
I've learned to deal with this,
it's just the way it is.
Now is not so good-
later is all I have.
Fine.
Later my life will be as it should be.
Later I will have my true soul mate.
Later-maybe next year?
My only fear
is that later
might be too late...

~Oh my gosh,...this poem is so true for me in so many ways.  I am always saying that I am going to have done things and gotten things in my life ,..you know....LATER. hehe.  I have a whole lifetime of things already done in my mind,...but for later. aaagghh.  Great work. Hang in there. *Peace.

Cat...loved this.  And you are right....later MAY be too late.  Procrastination will be the ruin of me.  But for now I'll just put on my later-hosen and do a polka.~Grins~  Hardrock

Right you are. Well done.

It takes far less energy to love than to hate!

Ahhhhh...Pause for reflection....Hope doth reign supreme, later sounds great to me, for sooner is too quick, and I am above all else a procrastinator supreme....I love it moon.

Interesting poetic form.  I like your monologue-type style.  What you say is right.

later is never to late as long as you can finish whats on your plate in the time you have with Him/her,ect. whatever it might be there is no such things as being to late.
