I HATE ME TOO!

I hate me,
& everything I've come to be.
Everything that didn't last,
& all that's happened in the past.
All the mistakes that I have made,
make it harder to live today.
I'm now looked at like a whore,
that's not it, there's still more.
Why can't I just go back,
& change everything that I lack?
How can I make the real me show?
The me that everyone would like to know.
The me I can like,
the good me,
the honest me,
that's the one I wanna be.
It's too late,
is it just fate?
Can I ever be loved,
for the person I am?
Will everyone look at me,
as the same?
The white trash girl,
who has no shame!
But that's not me,
no not at all!
Why did a few mistakes,
make me completely fall?
The only way that I can be liked,
is to love myself 1st,
& I'll try with all my might!!

LOVE ELMO

Elmo..you cannot change the past, you can only learn from it.  You cannot change the future, you can only plan for it.  The only control you have of your life is right now, this instant.  Sounds like you have taken control.  Nicely put into words.  Hardrock

I understand. I always kick myself for the mistakes I have made in the past and wonder about how things could be if only...But that's not good, to live on if only's.
You start loving yourself, girl!

You should never hate you, you  are your best friend and always will be. And not to mention, you are also a pretty darn good writer, and nice person. Don't let anyone, make you feel unworthy. Trust me on this one, as a woman who has been through too much, and let too many poeple affect my self esteem-Its not worth it. If a man is not nice to you, he is the one with the problem. Never believe it when they say bad things to you.
Ok, I'm done  LOL  I just felt bad that you would listen to him. Go read "Ode to Idiot" and quote it to him!!
Peace

Oh wow!! This brought back some memories for me.   Hey but life moves on and 'time' does help alot.  Great poem and great way to express yourself.

Peace
DkW

oh btw.... Since I have been divorced, I have a male roommate too    And I have had many rumors about me and him.  Its it funny how men and women cant be JUST friends? Hmmmmm a thought to ponder.

Once there was a darkness
Deep and endless night
You gave me everything you had
Ahhhhhh you gave me light
