My mind travels ahead To the time we will meet. And I will finally after all this time Be able to look you in the eye. And feel your arms wrapped around me. And I wonder with some hesitation, Will you like what you see? Will I be everything you have Been so patiently waiting for? Will I fulfill your dreams and You growing expectations once You finally see me in the flesh? Standing in front of you, My heart on my sleeve Will you still hold me close And whisper those sweet words of love? My heart sighs with a soft prayer That you will accept me, love me I gather my faith in you Giving me the strength I need To believe in us. To believe in our love. |
