The Gift of Time

Precious, is this gift to give
When one heart holds another.
Staring at me silently
He's there, my Shadow Lover.

He whispers to me, kisses of.
In darkness, he will reign
Upon my lips in silent touch
To myst me once again.

Time goes by so swiftly
In the cobalt blue of night.
Antique lace in shadows shed
It's softness in moonlight.

To hold my heart together
In the silence of the rain,
You camouflaged with kisses
Whispered colorful in stain.

The dark is shattered by the light
As rain becomes a mist.
The morning sun burns off the fog
And leaves a rainbow kiss.

The newness of the dawning
And it's warmth to start the day,
Is a gift of time, so precious
Shadowed silently to stay.

Sudhir..I hope you don't mind me posting a few from my older daily thoughts... I thought you might enjoy some of my  past writings this year...all have a special meaning as I actually write as a daily diary...
thank you
Maureen

This is as soft and as beautiful new morn. I really like this one. But you know how much I like your work, you have such a certain touch that your words capture moods perfectly.

Maureen,
I feel compelled to say something in regard to this lovely poem, but for the life of me I cannot come up with anything fitting. I certainly echo all of the above sentiments and yet fee there should be more... Maybe, this is a glimpse into the recesses of a tender heart? Anyway..thanks.
