Lucy Linus Pigpen Snoopy Sally Charlie Rerun Shroeder Peppermint Patty Woodstock Marcie Im sure i'll be crying before this thought is through They all had big heads but tender hearts My hero Charles Schulz I'm not saying so because he died I always wanted to be a comic But I'm a poet by trade A good fair trade Let the master of satire Rule the top of every newspaper Forevermore In spirit I'll just be happy being me Once in awhile sitting on top Of that good old poet page Very briefly but content Reading the funnies When I should be writing more Having a laugh at all the reposts Of good old Peanuts until Even then they too are gone And then I will write sad again Sniff… [This message has been edited by wayoutwalt (edited 02-14-2000).] |

Oh no..I'm truly sad over this. Snoopy is my favorite of all the characters. I just can't believe it. Are all the greater people finally leaving us? What will be left of art and other related areas once the oldest and best of them go? Weird question. I hope it makes sense.  |

Imagine if they started doing reruns - and started with the first 'Peanuts' cartoon ever printed .... how old you'll be when they're all done... 45 years worth....  |
