RAIN The rain comes falling softly, From a dark and troubled sky, It rumbles discontented, With howling winds that sigh. The birds sit All at rest, The trees do bow and sway, The rabbits underground, As the storm does have it's way. Tomorrow holds the freshness, Of a newly fallen rain, The air becomes so sweet, And the land is new again. The sparkling of the dew, And the coolness of the air, The crispness of the sunlight, Through the misty morning air. |

great poem...Oh how I wish of a little rain, I live in Victoria in Australia and we are having our driest summer in a long time and need some relief, Oh the poor old farmer (now there's a thought for a post)  |
