I still try and find,
my lost moment in time,
gone is that moment,
never to find.

My heart had been shattered,
battered and torn,
and in one quick moment,
a love had been born.

Love without conditions,
was your gift to me,
and now I do find,
that I am too late to see.

I now keep the gift,
tucked deep in my soul,
never to leave me,
I won't let it go.

Time passes quickly,
moments are shared,
to catch those sweet moments,
I wish I had dared.

Wishes still haunt me,
time and again,
the love I do feel,
for my one special friend.

Moments so real,
of your gentle embrace,
moments of us,
in our one precious place.

How is it I feel you,
as if you were here,
enveloped in your kindness,
without the same fears.

The sands of the storm,
have slowly dwindled away,
now the moment is gone,
you found your own way.

I will never forget,
our one moment in time,
our hearts joined together,
our souls intertwined.

I love you seems simple,
for all that we share,
in my dreams I will see you,
without one moment to spare...

Thank you Whiskey and Astraea...this is about a very special friend of mine, and the question "what if" tends to cross my mind often. We are bestfriends, he helped me through alot..he wanted more, and at the time I was not ready. I am very lucky to have a friend like him...

Tamera, you do sound very lucky to havea friend like him, and he should be lucky to have a friend like you as well!

'What if' can be a torment. I believe if something is meant to be it will...if not now then in the future! Great poem!

Oh Tamera,

I have a friend just like this now. She lives in your shoes and I in his.  I fully know from his point of view how he feels.  This is very well written and a wonderful sharing of your life Thank you

Being in love with someone is more than just saying "I love you"

First Knight...
If you are speaking of Hoot, I can relate to her words so well..particularly her "Suit of Armor" poem....I cried and cried when I read that one. It is such a strange place to be. One tries to be optimistic, but the fear is there. But, if we lose the moment, it is gone..thank goodness he and i will always be close friends, however, I could have had so much more, and now someone else does. I do believe that is how it was supposed to be, I guess. hehehee He and I relate on a level beyond this world. Ok, so I blew it! hehehe No, I didn't blow it, I have a wonderful friend out of it..I do hope it works for you! Thank you for the compliment...Tamera

Tamera, one can not live with regrets, they'll eat you alive, I know as well as anyone. It is so hard sometimes to trust again, to totally let go, as you well know. But lucily for me, I don't fear enough that I will let the right one get away
Oh, thanks for your compliments on my poems
