On this day, I cannot create
I cannot write
I've drawn a blank and,
There is nothing there, But
Empty spaces/
Where my words should be
Oh, the reality!
Of the things that ARE
And, What could be?
Those which are inscribed
Upon the tables of my Heart:
Yet, inexpressive of my thoughts
To of Which and When,
My Writers' Block depart:
Seated at my desk,
Is where I shall be
To create again
Relieve me of
This Hollowness, This Absence,
This Emptiness and Void
Dub thee Begetter of Words
Persuade my inventiveness
To produce, Cultivate:
That I may give Birth,
To a Poem.

Each time I begin a poem, I say something similar. We've all had that block at some time or another and pray for it to go away.. we need to keep encouraging each other and give inspiration!

I've felt this way.  Is the sun shining? Maybe take a walk and see if inspiration finds you, or just wait and something may jump out from inside.  It'll pass, it always does.

Princess,

Wonderful first post. Well-written.

Every time I finish a poem, I think, how will I come up with another one?

Do what I do, go take a shower. It never fails, whenever I'm in the shower, one always hits me in the head. Here's a haiku from this morning's shower:

Taking a shower,
water hits me in the head;
got to write a poem.

From the look of things though, you don't have to worry.
