I slept with a stranger just last night, and, believe it or not, there was no worry or fright. Separate beds and worlds apart, still he was there to comfort my heart. Both of us under the same big sky, as the hours of the night slipped gently by. I slept with a quiet and peaceful calm, knowing he intended to keep me from harm. He promised me that he would be there, in my sadness and fear, to stroke my hair. Yes, I slept with a stranger just last night, and, for the first time in ages, my world was right.
