One cold dark night you’ll stop and read a name upon a stone
Your heart is stilled you can’t believe the name it is your own
This one last chance is all you have to write your last cold rhyme
For your life makes not a mark upon the march of time
Feeling pain the cleansing rain, a love, a loss……alone
A small success and all that’s left your name upon a stone
So if that lonely night is near that stone you clearly see
Before you hang your head and cry just think of what might be
So spend your time creating hope spread love to your own
Then it wont seem so cruel that name upon a stone

Thanks RWS

Nice one Jon..I'm moved again to change my wicked ways

This certainly gives one something to think about.  Very poignant.

 Mystical being
which makes ink flow
Surround me in
your incandescent glow
Fill my brain with
thoughts and rhyme
As I try to capture
but a moment in time
