why have they brought me here
all these stones in queer shapes
isn't this where they bury the dead?

my mother, her hair so fair
why does she lay weeping there
my father holds her close

he looks at the sky
oh please dont cry
i promise i will be good

my little sister is so pretty
why does everyone talk so  softly
where did she go?

i must find her
mommy will be angry so
the sun is so bright

oh there she is
playing with the butterflies
lets go to mommy baby

i'll race you across the grass
lets touch all these stones
you musn't slow me down

tears glisten on mommys cheeks
i'll put a smile on her lips
theres a bird on that tree

i'll show her i can spell
on the rock
is a familiar name

A-N-N-A
MOMMY THATS MY NAME

What a sad surprise the ending is.  This is beautiful.

Wonderous~
This tugs at my heartstrings.
Loss of a child is such a
heart-rendering tragedy.
If Anna is yours, my sympathy ...
if not ... she's somebody's child.
I'll remember this poem for a long,
long time.

Wonderous this gave me chills.  Haunting but beautiful in the idea that when we're "gone", we're not really.  Very touching.

Wow! What a surprise. And so so sad, the loss of a child would be awful I think.
Great job!
