I hear too much about love that's lost
By people who don't care of the cost...
I've also heard of people who drain
The love out of people--imagine the pain!
Rumors of how some people just leave;
That's a picture I just can't conceive!
And some people who constantly fight,
Thoughts like that can wake me all night...
Words passed on of love's jealousy,
I'm so glad it did not affect me!
And those with whom love consumes all,
And when it is gone, they fall, they fall...

But I also hear of love's success,
Seen people happy in each others' caress,
Gathering close, face to face
And keeping each other in caring embrace.

This is the picture I like to see,
Love that is given, pure and free.
This whole world needs so much--
That's why I try to reach out and touch
Some people with poems--as do others here!
There's hope for us yet!
So have no fear.
