Could Be Anywhere...

Ship Wreck

Water is calmer now
after the violence of the storm.
Surface like glass forever, any direction
the wind once again safe and warm.

Sharks seem to be full at last
they went away sometime around dawn.
This lifeboat seems so tiny in all this gigantic
everyone and everything else is gone.

Emptiness like the panic of the night
is overwhelming, threatens to rip the screams.
Voice creaks and breaks, can't handle much more
inventory leaves just maybes and a few dreams.

Survived, and now what is wondered
between the hunger, sharks, sun and sea.
Future is looking bright enough to terrify
only a prayer is left for me.

from his arm,

Sometimes we do feel adrift, don't we? This is excellent writing, Daniel!

bleeding, I am quickly becoming a fan of yours, that last line is a show stopper and a knock out.  Thanks for the wonderful read.

Wow, bleeding, I love this one.. transition from the storm, to the calm, and the WRECK after it, describing many situations in life..
well.. certainly no writers block here!
This is, perhaps, one of my favourites Daniel.. ^_^

Lynne

fun as being marooned!
Michelle...natural as breathin after all these years!
Jon...Ginsberg? whatta Beserkly kinda thang!
Ms Nogs...a fan? oh my!
Lynne... a keeper, eh?
Sis Marcy, it's the calm that gets ya!

Appreciate y'all taking the time to comment.
