Kid Euclid, I acknowledge,
Thy bountiful accolades,
But all things considered,
I must squelch this thy praise.

My Oaths are to the Kingdom,
Require strict attention,
To be valiant and loyal,
To serve is my intention.

I serve not for praise,
Vain glory, it soon fades,
A haughty mind corrupts,
Makes one unfit for Crusades.

I admire this thy boldness,
To seek noble profession,
If thy motives be pure,
Ye may be in contention.

Yet I caution thee son of Cobbler,
Glorious this life may seem,
It is filled full of hardships,
Not likely found in your dreams.

A Knights life is often lonely,
The battles try thy nerve,
Thou must stand unwavering,
In the face of death, thou doth serve.

An apprentice tasks are tedious,
The amour for to bear,
Must summons up raw courage,
Honors badge to wear.

'Cause of thy willing nature,
I'll consider thine request,
Great sacrifice wilt thou make,
To serve me in mine Quest.

I'll return my answer in a fortnight, Euclid, son of Cobbler.

Sir White Knight-I bow
In thy Noble presence,
Tho'I'm lowly as dirt
You've acknowledged my requestance.

And if thy reply
Was meant me to shake,
I may be quite young
But my chances I'll take.

For with me 'tis not passing fancy
Nor for Glory but for honor do I seek,
Such as unquestuionably in thee reside
I am willing to face troubles bleak.

For I must know
The depth of my scope,
Less I be nothing
And lose all my hope.

But to be devoted
Like thou, to Noble persuit
This is my quest
E'en from this my youth.

If perchance-sir
You allow it to be,
I pledge my best service
My life spent for thee.

For I believe
This the best I could do,
To learn from the Best
And Be close to you.

A Fortnigh's forever
with my life in the balance,
But I will await
To hear your talliance.

Thank you Mighty Knight
My request to consider
I believe in my heart
You'll find me no quitter.

So, Please give thought
My offer still stands,
Thou I'd serve anywhere
Here or distant lands.

I humbly Bow low in thine Honour.
     Euclid, the Cobbler's Son

I seek to be me-
and all I can be!

Euclid, I've reconsidered,
'Cause of thy tenacity,
Thou hast pledged thy self well,
T'will lead to thy sagacity!

An honorable profession,
Thou seekest this day,
Commit to thy course,
And turn not away.

You'll be in for a penny,
And in for a pound,
Where you are needed,
Is where you'll be found.

As a chosen apprentice,
Your mettle wilt be tested,
Tried by the fire,
For this life you've requested.

Thy character will be forged,
By thy service and deeds,
Of loyalty and honor,
Learning the Knights' creeds.

Come join me young Euclid,
By my side you will stand,
This day ends thy childhood,
Step this way to become a man.

Euclid Bows as he acknowledges his Gracious Benefactor---

I'm humbled and honored
all at the same time,
dreams do come true
yes this I doth find.
I hadst my doubts
Thou wouldst even consider
my unexpected request--
But you did--I'm atwitter!
I must go now and tell
my father the news
and pack a few things
this I don't want to lose.
With no one to vouch
yet Thou still wert willing
to bet on this lad
More than a shilling.
Now that thou madest
up thine mind in my case,
I willest follow through
and to thee make haste.
Later on, noble Knight
I'll tell thee more
About thy humble choice
I hopest, it not a bore.
As thou hast commited
Loyality to the Crown,
I humbly pledge thee
My service to abound.
'Twill only be brief
my absence and then,
I'll surrender my life
To thou Master and Friend!
