Let me get this straight:

At least four of the posters here (Wikket, Little Spyro, Joy, and U Gene) are under 18? Correct?

How many of you are under 16? Spyro, you said you're 14?

I'm starting to feel OLD in here....and I'm afraid the Pub is going to lose its liquor license.

For the record, I'm in my 40's.

Exile...your not old...like Munda I am also 42...besides..we are like fine wines...we just get better with age(smile)...and think of all the wisdom we have learned to write about in our poems...LOL...
based on the talent I've seen coming from the "younger generation" in here...we better get to writing...cause they are catching up quick...
take care, janet marie

You're correct about that Exile, (I'm 15) but I think Janet Marie's right when she says you are like fine wines.  It's true.  You get older and you experience more and hence, your writing improves.  That's why I cherish getting older so I can see how my poetry will blossom and grow into a full flower.  I only have a few petals now though!

Exile,

Where did you ever get the idea I was under 18?

I'm 48--ouch!

Me too, Gene! I sure do like that fine wine analogy!   Hey, where has Little Spyro been? Haven't seen him today or yesterday...

Well, yeah you're right Exile, I'm 14...and I have to say I'm proud of it! lol

Hey, there's nothing wrong with being in your 40s--like Denise said, she's roughly the same age as you.

Hey, what's with all these Quadagenarians (if that's how you say it)?

Is my interest in poetry a midlife crisis or what?

Very sorry, u_gene!!! Now I'm not sure where I got the idea you were <18. I guess I figured us "old folks" couldn't climb rocks like in your photo.....

It's good to know that, at 43, I'm not the "old man" of this board, anyway...but it's an interesting coincidence that so many of us are either in our 40's or in our teens....maybe there's a poem there someplace.

Many kids today are very wise.
Their wisdom belies their very age.

Like little_Spyro, to make a pun,
Must have things spun around,
Where 14 is really 41.

Exile,
Take a real close look at my photo. Notice the receding hairline?

Guess I'm under the legal drinking age too, but we won't tell right? I'm 16. I really enjoy it here, it is such a comfortable atmosphere. Thanks everyone!

Hi there,
I'm 42, but should age matter when someone is expressing their feelings?  I don't think so.  Young and old have things to say that we can all relate to.  Anyway, hope you don't feel alone in your age group now.

Does age really matter when our thoughts can reach each other and be understood?  For the record, I'm 20, but I think that we put to much emphasis on age or other differences..

MAY THE ROAD RISE TO MEET YOU,
MAY THE WIND BE ALWAYS AT YOUR BACK
MAY THE SUN SHINE UPON YOUR FACE
THE RAINS FALL SOFT UPON YOUR FIELDS
AND, UNTIL WE MEET AGAIN,
MAY GOD HOLD YOU IN THE PALM OF HIS HAND

Hey all, well I'm 20 but I don't think age should really be such a concern after all, my friends irl are all a lot older than me, and some a lot younger, I guess in the end, it's what is in your heart and how you see the world that really counts.

May the light of day always shine during the darkest of nights.

Hey, no worries, man. See I am 18, and my friend Yu Lan is only 15 only she write much better poems than I do, but I don't feel threatened at all. Age is not of any concern when it comes to writing poems, so cheer up, we are all gonna love ya poems.

No comment on all of that!  Age doesn't matter in my opinion, so I'm not going to give mine!  Let's just say I write poetry & I love it, there's really not much more to it!
