rusted with age, and determination
it has stood wide open
refusing to close
refusing to set me free
from days gone,
heartache and torment

it has stood open
letting sadness and hurt
flow in with each passing breeze

open like a gaping wound
in my soul
on my life

beckoning like a quicksand swamp
"come"

but I'll not go that route again
I'll not give up a moment of my hard won peace
to step through that door once again
and open the scars anew

Sometimes the scars heal Isabelle....and sometimes love can help them. Pain makes us stronger if we don't let it bury us.

Very nice Isabelle, very touching. Maybe this door needs to be closed, but please, try another door someday, when you feel strong enough. I wish you love in your days to come. : )

I'm there with you Isabelle...you could have written this about me, as well. Excellent work.

Great Job! Scars on the heart heal slowly...and 'tis hard to walk through that door
