Dying shadows fade from view as
a lonely, glowing orb falls beneath
the distant horizon.
A whisper passes along
the band of weary travelers
as a dull light begins to pierce
through the trees in the east.
A simple decision is made,
and an unfinished mission is left
to wait for the return of darkness.
Then the mythical voyagers
melt into a growing fog,
leaving behind another mystery
in the ever-present gloom of twilight.
