This is maybe more just a collection of thoughts than a poem Just Once Just once I’d like to ~Fly to another country ~Sip champagne in the back of a limousine ~Sleep peacefully in the arms of another ~Gamble and win ~Go shopping on Fifth Ave. just for the fun of it ~Have my poetry read aloud to me in bed ~Laugh in the face of danger ~Attend the theater in an evening gown ~Attend a formal event in blue jeans ~Get flowers “Just Because” ~Wish upon a falling star and have it come true ~Drink Tequila in Mexico ~Make love on a sandy beach in Southern California And just once I’d like to know ~What it feels like to be truly loved ------------------ "Nobody has measured, not even poets, how much the heart can hold" ~Zelda Fitzgerald |

Well Hoot, you have hit the nail on the head my dear! Though I giggle at this, I also relate all too well! Except for the Tequila part, I would love to do the rest of it! You have expressed my feelings! Sounds like fun! What are we doing sittin here writin about it, let's goooo!!!! LOL |

Sunshine.....thank you, me too WhtDove...let's do it...well, that is all except the sleep peacefully in the arms of another and make love on a sandy beach in southern california...grins, nothing against you, but I think I'd like the opposite sex for those few things...laughs |
