My pen
lies silent
its ink run dry
the keys untapped
my screen blank

I'm here
on this bed
staring at
the whorls
ot the plaster ceiling
and my poetry
is only the thought
of you

What words
on a cold screen
could give you life?
What visions in ink
would a breath of you make?

I cannot
for one instant think
of any words
sufficient
for the depth and grace
in you

My Friend
my heart you have
but let me find you
with my eyes
and leave my words
for things
less admired
less beloved

Let me give
you the treasure
of my sleepness night
instead.

Yet I bask
in the silence
of your
words,
of you.

I envision...
oh, many many things.
And I wonder,
at the joy,
that you bring
me
that i bring
you,
that you bring
me.

The tears are shorting out my keyboard girl, sending brilliant sparks of colour soaring through the air, much as it feels within my heart.

So I'm a voyeur. I admit it.

Wonderful trysting of words my friends.

Very nice, especially love the end:
"Let me give
you the treasure
of my sleepness night
instead."
Great stuff!

Beautiful ! You guys are killing me !! he he he
I can certainly feel your pain...Severn, you really know how to bring out that feeling of "void" one feels when their love is far away and untouchable. It's quite a chore to sit down and try to find words worthy of the one whom you wish to write about...I think we're in the same boat !! You and me in one canoe, Michael & Chris in another....I know all too well that feeling of longing you have now. I've sat and stared at a blank screen myself....pen resting on blank paper....(sigh) I understand.

Wonderfully written Severn...mind if I join you and Poet in that canoe, think I'm in the same boat anyway

As I said earlier to both you Severn and Christopher this is beautiful!! I feel blessed for seeing such beautiful heartfelt words being passed between you two!!!

I myself understand to what it's like not to be able to put forth my feelings, thoughts, etc. through the resting pen and paper!!

Very lovely...I look forward to reading more!!!!
