I was just searching by title for a poem of mine. "I Was Lifted Up On Angels Wings," and it only pulled up one find, though I knew there were more. This is the only one it pulled it up, and I did a search for it in the archives, which is where I know it is, in more than one forum. /pip/Forum4/HTML/002992.html I had to go back and do a search under my name to find a different one. I did a search on "i was lifted up on angel" and found four by you and bunches by other people (apparently it was a challenge a while back?). Notice how I didn't capitalize anything? If you use ANY caps at all, the search assume you know what you want and looks ONLY for that. If you don't use caps, it'll find anything that matches regardless of case. In this case, though, that didn't affect your search. Notice how I stopped my search phrase when I came to punctuation? That's because I suspected it would be a problem - and it was. In two poems you use a possessive plural (Angel's) and in the other two you didn't (Angels). Had I not found the poems with that search, I would have limited it more (perhaps to "lifted up on") until I did find something. Thanks Ron, I'll remember that for future use. I do recall you saying that to someone else now, sorry I didn't remember before posting. I wish the  would come before the post and not after. LOL |
