Back, to the Stars

In the beginning, there were the stars.
And from the stars there came matter’s first wreck.
And from matter's first wreck arose the Universe.
And from the Universe there came the galaxies.
And from the galaxies arose the Milky Way.
And from the Milky Way there came the solar nebula.
And from the solar nebula arose our Sun.
And from the Sun there came the planets.
And from our planets arose the Earth.
And from space there fell a storm of meteors.
And from the storm of meteors there came the core and mantle of the planet.
And from the rocks of the earth there came the oceans.
And from the oceans arose the dry land.
And from the land there came the mountains,
Forests, plants and animals.
And from the plant and animal kingdoms,
From the forests and the mountains,
From the ever growing, interconnected web of life,
There came the human race.
And from the human race came you and me.
And you and I are made of stars.

You listen to me, and you will hear the universe.
I look at your smile,
and I will see the stars,
The grandeur of all creation.
For you and I are made of stars.
And when I’m in your arms, I am in Heaven.
You and I are part
Of all there will ever be,
Of everything that has ever been,
The future and the past.
We may only borrow what we have been given,
The transitory gift of Life,
Only dancing on this Earth for a short while,
Before returning, finally, to the Source of all things:
Back, to the sea of Life we share,
Back, to the human race,
Back, to the biosphere,
Back, to the forests and the mountains,
Back, to the oceans, the mother of all life,
Back, to the fishes of the seas,
Back, to the rocks of the Earth,
Back, to the fiery core and mantle of the planet,
Back, to the storm of meteors that brought us the building blocks of life,,
Back, to the formation of our Earth,
Back, to the swirling nebula that was our Sun,

Back, to the Milky way,
Back, to matter’s first wreck
Back, to the stars.

It's difficult to see the inspiration you felt from Margherita in this poetry of yours Mr. Goose. Mother Goose, yes...Margherita, no. But that not withstanding, you did use a line from the *Cat Stevens song, "Oh Very Young" and I feel he deserves at least as much credit as my dear late friend Margherita, and your "Midnitesun".

*"only dancing on this Earth for a short while"

May I suggest, since you mentioned "creation" and practically defined evolution, reading applicable information on both subjects and then choosing one to your liking...or none at all if you wish.

I respect your efforts Mr. Goose.

Pass the Glade if you're going to do that here...

Dear Daddy Goose, I like this writing to both Margherita and Midnight Sun. Both had such a reverence for life and it's many trials and spoke from the heart in every word they posted. They left this world much too soon but both had a clear acceptance of where they were going. Best to you Daddy goose.

Thank you Daddy Goose for honoring these wonderful women. I was stunned by the magnificence of your poem, vibrating through me as I read. I had no idea our dear Margherita had passed. I have so infrequently read or posted, I didn't even know she was sick. She was always so sweet and perceptive. She and Midnitesun, as other poets who have gone before in celestrial transformation, will certainly be remembered.

Jaime, your passion wove through every word you wrote. Thank you for loving these two talented and genuine women.  You did them proud - not in your poetry (though I imagine that you did them proud there also), but in the friendship you held for them both. They are forever beauties. Time immemorial, my friend ~
