Where My Visions Come From

Staring out the window I contemplate
the words that flow endlessly through my head
Thoughts that combine into pictures so clear
filled with color and movement from within

Nature fills my heart and soul peacefully
with a beauty beyond the naked eye
Animals play beside bubbling brooks
frolicking upon carpet greenery

Flowers of multiple colors swaying
as soft breezes caress tender petals
Water tumbles over stones so gently
soothing the soul like the sound of His voice

Mountain peaks raise high into clouds above
bringing thoughts of eternal majesty
Creations’ alive flowing all around
His love reflected in everything

I cannot see all pictured in my mind
my words seem to be so inadequate
I see clearly as on a movie screen
It is my Lord Where My Visions Come From

Like days of the year, we see things differently from one to another,
almost with every blink,
but with an all encompassing thread that ties them together in a common path.  I think maybe you've been blessed with sensing that thread while writing this piece.

Well done, my friend

Karen...So glad to read your poetry. As you I also feel that all of my poetry comes from a higher power, because I'm just an old goat that one day started writing poetry by accident. Never had any formal training and hated school. Thanks for sharing your visions with us...Paul

If you really want to read a great poetry writer read some of Michael's poems he is very good

Beautiful ending to this.  A lot of people focus on the negative things in life only.  It's not surprising those who typically see and appreciate the beautiful things in life, also appreciate who gives them to us.
