I lived in the desert,
Where Poseidon,
Was but a pleasant dream.

Delirious with thirst,
I imagined pleasure,
And the torture
Felt like leisure,
As the sun;
Burned through my veins.

An acclimation that is key to survival.

Only a powerful force within the mind produces powerful poetry as the result of great adversity.
