Tonight the sky licks
on the ground

The moisture settles on
the mound

The river’s mouth is open
wide

The swollen blossom, cannot
hide

Two birds of a feather
are
flocking together

The snowy lace is under,
leather

Hail seas and czars
above

The row man paddles toward,
his love

The swell is waving, him
to pass

Faith is willing to
amass

The sky is ready, to
discharge

Lightning bolts are just
too large

Our rhymes of passion
now
are cleansed

Seeking truth
is life’s revenge

Truth is a much overused word. Not in this poem however. Revenge is sometimes sweet
