tears stream down my face
as I think of times of the past
memories come and go in a moment
sometimes it seems like nothing will last

my world is sometimes so chaotic
it's difficult to get others to understand
what other people take for granted
falls through my fingers like tiny granules of sand

I stare at this woman in the mirror
Piercing blue eyes looking back at me
I see the tangled journey she's been through
The real me I see

Sometimes it's so hard to even breathe
I feel like I'm constantly struggling for air
Then out of nowhere suddenly
You were there

From the ashes out of my tattered life
Arose the most beautiful thing, straight from above
With an honesty and pureness I've never known
A certain emotion...called love

In the winds that surround me
On the blades of the grass on the ground
I'm reminded of everything about you
In every single sight and every single sound

Like whispers of a secret
That speaks only to me and you
I'm quickly learning what it means to really trust
From a melody that my heart already knew

True love always waits.

Eventually, it seems to me, that you would be better off if you could direct your poetical energy in attempting to close down this heartache and see the world as something which is waiting on you to pick up the pieces and begin to start living for YOU again. I guess I should try to tell people what to do. I just know that chasing after rainbows is usually a lost cause. I guess I am not one of your favorite people now.

Love is a strange thing.
quote:
From a melody that my heart already knew
I think we all know the melody, it's ingrained within us and instinctual.  Yet the world yanks, pulls, and twists us away and sometimes we forget.  It's good you are listening.

Thank you both Jerry and Michael for your thoughtful replies. Love is a complicated thing for sure sometimes. But I am learning to love myself again and to grow as a person. So happy to be able to share my words with all of you

Hi. Just wanted to let everyone know that me and AmyMichelle are one in the same. A big thank you to Michael & Ron for helping me get my old account back. I'll be posting under Aimster from now on.

The greatest thing you'll ever learn is just to love and be loved in return.
