Full moon salmon pink
Setting in the western sky
Mirrors the sunrise.

I once witnessed a setting moon catching the glow of a hazy sunrise in such a grand way that it appeared to me that there were two suns in the sky.  That was a very peculiar feeling... was sure that I was dreaming.  Great write.

Hey!  Look at all these friends! Thank you so much! I feel like I should break out a bottle of wine. I'm so glad my little Haiku touched a spot with each of you. ~L

I just got back from checking on Nancy Coleman. The small headstone was unreadable except for her name and the year she died which was 1775, The elements obliterated everything else. Sorry, but that is all I know.

I wondered if that stone had been moved from it's original resting place.  The Louisiana Purchase was in the 1800's.  The name Nancy that long ago was still a nickname for Nan or Ann or Annis, so it could be the stone of a child. There should be a plot map that could possibly tell you more. But all the facts might take all the fun out of the mystery. ~L

And I have constructed a few more poems about Nancy. After I found that grave marker my imagination went wild.
