sirens everywhere it seemed
enough so that I walked outside
to see what was up
saw a group of people
hanging around the small little park
nearby
I went there and asked,
what’s going on?
“a naked man is running around,”
whispered a slightly overweight woman
did you see him? I wanted to know
“yes,” she whispered with a tenuous response
what’d he look like, I pressed her
“I don’t know he was naked”
suddenly sensing what she had said
and what it implied
she flushed Queen of Hearts red
and quickly tottered off
and was lost within the gathering crowd
I turned around
walked back to The Hovel
smiling at the slightly overweight woman
who might
she just very well  might
have a vivid dream about the streaker
even though
she knew not what he looked like
by the time I arrived
at The Hovel
I was laughing my ass off
