Fair to middlin' of nowhere

As winter’s cold fingers loosen
the morning sun shines between them
as it rises ever earlier.
What was black and unrelenting,
is now celebrating with pinks and oranges.

Ah, love it --- no sun for us this morning.  Seldom see really colored skies around here anyway - sunrise and set is usually "blah" colored, certainly nothing spectacular.

enjoyed...

I'm enjoying not having to have my headlights on bright to see the deer before they cross the road.  The pretty sunrise is just frosting on the cake! ~L

We are normally cloudy for the most part during the day, but not so today. It is still cold out there, but the sun feels good if you can find a place where you can stand out of the damn wind!

Wind? Did you say wind? It has been blowing so hard here some must have "broke" loose and came your way. Wind chill sucks! ~L

We had snow here the other day. By New England standards It didn't amount to enough to be called real snow. But it still looked pretty as it was falling. ~L
