I never met, a
holy ghost

That didn’t need
amend

Reaping what you sow
is sure

A message
we,
should lend

In flawed we trust
and so
we seek

A truth
that we, can feel

Something we can see and
taste

And make, our spirit
heal

So the child was born
on the darkest night

Making our, creation
bright

The father said, he is,
my sun

And that is how, it all
begun

His glimmer always
lit the way

While brightening up
his own

His destiny was
manifest

To every
stick,
and stone

His beaming smile
keeps us,
warm

Long after it is night

Even though, my son
is far

He is

My shining light

I am forever grateful, and even a bit astonished that my poem, "Sunspot" was the inspiration for this glowing piece of writing. Thank you, Richy. I especially loved . . .

you're very welcome Jerry,

there's a line in a piece i wrote recently that goes something like: "sometimes we never even know we borrow"

every word that's ever been written has all been in, a single poem.. the poem of us

i just wanted to let you know that all the feelings are just the same.. we just word them a little, differently..

write on my friend

far is near, as your poem warms the spirit of the reader, though miles away, feels part of our one universal truth

Letting Go

As birds are given wings to fly and soar
As high as needed to survive,

So sons are given heart and nerve
To answer callings, so they may thrive.

In reply to your note to Jerry Pat , Best to you Jo

"why it has seemed to distance itself
from the father sun"

with my youngest son joining the navy last year and my last son at home going off to the air force soon this line of your's inspired me to scribble some thoughts..

Very nice, Richy!
latearrival, I can't quite tell if there maybe are three responders/authors within yours, and, if so, which is yours.

Whether on the shoal or on the shore,
I'll seek the lighthouse evermore.

To Vas. Sorry for the confusion.I was trying to reply to Richy's mention of his two sons by inserting my short poem about "Letting Go".

And then I inserted Richy's original note so it would not just stand alone. Sorry Richy if I messed your space. Love, ya jo

Wonderfully inspired write, dear Richy. Such loving thoughts from a father's heart to his son, very poignant.

It's so nice when poets inspire each other, as it happened here between Jerry and you.

thats so true Margy.. we do receive quite a bit from each other dont we.. in some ways we alter each others thoughts and in doing so one might say, we become a part of each other..

and i am blessed that you are part of me..
