Each year, without fear, the end comes closer,
From hospital bed, I hear what’s said,
The end might be getting closer,
But to their surprise, I opened my eyes
And moved away once more.

Without fear I continue the year, returning home,
Here I wait, for the fate of cats left alone
Rescued by a friendly neighbor’s concern
The shelter took them away (t’was the SPCA)
I wait for my friend’s safe return.

Gloom

(Saturn, Phantom, and Pan returned safely yesterday.)
