where insanity meets breeding

You didn’t see the pain inside
Never saw the tears I cried
Missing you here by my side
Another perfect alibi

I hid it all so well from you
I knew that you were dying too
You never knew how much I cared
The hell I felt in my despair
The demons haunting in my lair
My inner living hell

A heart that’s slowly breaking
A helplessness that’s shaking
No sugared cup to ease the pain
Of being in this place again

And missing you won’t go away
Though I’ve told me time again
Who knew it would affect me so
Even as I let you go
And killing every fibre
Of this rotten lonely core

A bed of my own making
A missing you that’s aching
I’ll choke on my own vanity
While the pain inside is killing me
And one day will you ever see
What it is you meant to me

In misery I'll wallow
From this bitter pill I’ve swallowed
Oh yes I’ll drink my medicine
And choke on my own spit

You can never win or lose
If you don't
Run the race

Been there, done that, bought the t-shirt... and wear it still, though it hangs in tatters. *S* You've written the misery so very well... Bravo to the write... hugs to the writer if this is where you are now.

Thanks all of you for your replies...yes, it was a rough patch... but nice to have the catharsis of being able to write again, it's been a long time!!

And it's nice to see some old familiar faces!! It's been a long time... nice to be back here.

Yep, I know the feeling.
A little spilled milk goes well

JL... hope you don't mind... but your spilled milk and crow worked it's way into a new piece... it was just so appropriate for my feelings. Thanks for letting me borrow!

Better grab yourself a green ale tomorrow and have a toast to bygones.  This too reads like a song Tracey.  I shall have one for you.

Tracey, this is so sad. It brings back alot of memories. But, as they say, life goes on, and eventually a heart will mend. Hang in there.

Your words come through powerfully Tracy. I enjoyed the rawness and feeling you evoked, really well done.

Best wishes,
Kit
